November 5 - Spotlight on Jerry Absi, Ottawa Ontario

Jerry Absi is the producer of Sawt El Noujoum, Arabic radio show on CHIN 97.9 FM, and Director of Stars of Lebanon Theatre Company.
 
Jerry is a graduate of the University of Ottawa with a degree in Theatre. Jerry acquired a lifelong of experiences in theatre and live entertainment in multicultural productions as well as English theatre productions with over 270 projects in his portfolio. As if theatre didn't keep Jerry busy enough, he found a new home in the radio industry when he brought Lebanese/Arabic radio to the Nation's capital of Canada. This great feat has earned Jerry the community title of "Goodwill Ambassador of the Middle East"
 
Jerry Also Co-Founded the Stars of Lebanon Theatre Company with the talented singer Andre Ibrahim. SOL was created to produce and promote Lebanese theatre and art. This year SOL celebrate their 30th anniversary with the musical production Summer of 840 by Monsour Rahbany at the Meridian CenterPoint Theatre on January 27 and 28, 2024.

NCCAR is Celebrating November - Lebanese Heritage Month under the patronage of the Embassy of Lebanon, Ottawa.
