Morocco’s Historic Football Achievement
One of the most remarkable milestones was Morocco’s historic achievement in football, where the nation secured its first-ever team medal in the sport. This victory marks a significant breakthrough for Morocco and the Arab world, highlighting the growing prowess of Arab countries in football and team sports on the global stage. This achievement builds on Morocco's performance at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar two years ago.

Bahrain Leads the Arab Medal Tally
Bahrain emerged as the leading Arab nation in the medal tally, securing a total of 4 medals, including 2 golds. This remarkable performance underscores Bahrain's growing influence in the world of sports, particularly in athletics and wrestling.

  • Gold in Freestyle Wrestling: Ahmed Tajeldinov clinched gold in the 97 kg freestyle wrestling category, showcasing his dominance and adding to Bahrain's impressive tally.
  • Gold in Athletics: Winfred Yavi added another gold to Bahrain's count, further establishing the country as a powerhouse in athletics.
