Rania Bou-Nassif is an accomplished communications expert. She started her career in 1995 at An-Nahar, one of Lebanon's premier newspapers, where she developed her expertise in investigative journalism and editing. Rania's reporting has spanned diverse topics—politics, society, economics, and culture—shedding light on complex subjects and issues across the Middle East region.
Throughout her career, Rania has maintained a deep commitment to objective journalism, a principle that propelled her into leadership roles across the media industry. After serving as Editor-in-Chief at prominent outlets in Saudi Arabia and Dubai, she returned to Beirut to lead public relations efforts for top PR and advertising firms. In this role, she contributed to shaping and fostering the public image of multinational corporations, including Microsoft and LG Electronics, as well as major telecommunications companies in Lebanon.
Beyond her media work, Rania founded a strategic communications consultancy that offers PR, social media, and copywriting services to a diverse client base. As a media professional, she has trained numerous professionals to navigate the challenges of the media landscape effectively. Rania was also a frequent guest on radio and TV programs and has delivered keynote addresses at conferences.
In 2013, Rania relocated to Canada with her family, seeking a brighter future for her children. She currently hosts Canada Express, a daily socio-political morning show on Middle East Radio, where she engages listeners in discussions on pressing issues affecting both Arabic-speaking and broader Canadian communities. Through high-profile interviews with prime ministers, ministers, deputies, and notable community figures, Rania keeps her audience informed on critical developments, including elections and new legislation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she became a steadfast source of daily information. Rania continues to moderate workshops and conferences and is often invited as a guest on news channels abroad to cover issues affecting Canada.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Rania is deeply committed to social causes, actively supporting community initiatives and advocating for human rights and social justice, bridging the gap between her homeland and her adopted country.
Rania holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and has completed extensive training in communication, leadership, and ethical journalism. She has also published works on Lebanese history and media.
Through her dedication to journalism, cultural understanding, and social justice, Rania Bou-Nassif exemplifies resilience and commitment to both her Lebanese heritage and Canadian home.
